The phenomena often reported in this alley includes the feeling of being watched, the sound of footsteps walking up behind you and an unexplainable odor of perfume. There have also been reports of strange shadows that "move" about in the alley after dark. An apparition of a young woman has been repeatedly seen near the town's community center, called Spook Hall, which sits just to the east of prostitute row.

Late at night the sounds of footsteps and voices can be heard throughout the building. Some claim that the ghost of Big Nose Kate haunts the saloon as it was one of her favorite places in life. Other apparitions include unidentified cowboys, who have been seen at the bar and walking about various parts of the saloon.

Many people have sighted a female apparition which they believe is the ghost of Morgan Earp's wife, who is searching for her deceased husband even in death. This explanation seems impausible because she accompanied her husband's remains back to California, where he was buried.

Judge Blenman's ghost and presence are said to occupy the Sydney Marie Suite. This regal 500 square foot, two-room suite was historically Judge Blenman's law office. His apparition is more of a shadow and is most often spotted at the private entrance to the patio that adjoins the room, although he has also been seen, very briefly, in the grand main hall.

In room 2, objects tend to move around. There used to be an old chair in front of the window sitting by the desk. The chair always seemed to be pushed into the desk, out of the range of the window, even though people purposely moved it away from the desk.

This hotel certainly has a variety of ghosts, all stubbornly refusing to check out. Other strange occurrences are the peculiar rings of the lobby telephone late at night, an image of a woman outside the Zane Grey Room and sounds of a man coughing continuously through the night. You can also have a great time listening to live music in the haunted cocktail lounge.

Employees and patrons at this quaint restaurant have reported the presence of spirits dating back from the frontier days. The playful ghosts are blamed for moving objects and making crashing sounds.The people who own the restaurant do not believe that it is Nellie Cashman, the building's former owner. However, whoever haunts the building is very sensitive to criticism and the ghosts will make themselves known.

There are many reports of "ghost lights" that occur in the fall and early winter. According to the stories, the lights are spirits of people who have died at or near the fort. The lights are typically blue or white in color and are most often seen down by the old cemetery.
